Tad's First Photo Shoot

We have been very lucky to have Grammy Pat as our resident photographer over the past 19 months and haven't taken Tad to a photo studio. We decided to get some more formal shots earlier this month. The photographer nicely kept describing Tad as "very active". If she wasn't getting paid, she might have used another word as Tad ran around the studio, got into everything and tried to scale the festive backdrop. We couldn't get him to sit on the cute sled, but he lit up when the photographer brought out the "orse".

After sending out our holiday cards we got several inquiries about the frenchies as we had included a photo of the smooshed face pups in years past. They are doing well (pretty much status quo - they are both snoring loudly next to me on the couch as I write this post), but definitely play second fiddle to baby brother. Tad adores Tuggie and Abbe (he's given Abby the french accent that she always felt she deserved) and seems to keep the peace by regularly feeding them people food so they tolerate random ear pulling, high pitch squeals and being chased around the house.

Happy Birthday Brooke!

The sweet birthday girl cooking up some treats.

Party time on the trampoline!

Double trouble: Brooke turns two on December 7th and Kit on January 1st.

Apples were a big hit at the party.

A good time was had by all!

Brooke turns two tomorrow on December 7th. We celebrated her birthday the day after Thanksgiving with a lady bug bash at the Boukater home. Elsie and Kit were in town, so it was a special treat to have all the Howells cousins together to celebrate Brooke's big day. The big kids, Bryce and Elsie, escaped the camera. We love you, Brooke and wish you much happiness in the next year!

Holiday Garb

Tad has the answer to your pressing question of what to wear to all your holiday parties this year - very fitted, festive holiday jammies! Socks can be added on a chilly night. One of my favorite things about hand-me-down clothes is the wonderful memories of Coop or Brady wearing an outfit for a particular occasion. I remember Coop cruising around in these hilarious elf jammies in New Hampshire for Christmas 2008. We all laughed at his cute little toddler body bopping around and now Tad is sporting the elf look, especially while playing with his beloved snow globe (be thankful you haven't been subjected to the endless Christmas carols the $9.99 CVS globe plays over and over...)

Woof Woof

"Nanas" are still a favorite food.

Sneak attack.

Pensive Tad. A very rare moment of stillness.

Tad is obsessed with doggies. He immediately starts saying "woof woof" and running towards any dog we come across. While the frenchies are of course his favorite, Tad loves wearing this sweater and pointing to the "woof woof" on his belly.

Turkey Day 2010

Sweet Kit Bear.

On the go with Brooke - wheee!

Several attempts at a group shot...

Post-turkey craziness.

More pie, please!

Kit gets down post dinner: shake it girl!

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a great holiday weekend with the Howells clan at 665 Edinboro Road where Johnny smoked another tasty bird. We sorely missed Uncle David who was on call in Jessup for the long weekend. We kicked off the day with the Gobble Job in Marietta Square, allowing us to really stuff ourselves at dinner. Tad loved playing with Aunt Addie and his cousins. He wasn't much of a fan of the turkey and sides, but loved Aunt Barbara's tasty pies.
